Frequently Asked QuestionsFor less frequently asked ones, please contact us. What can Chinese Medicine Treat?
We hesitate to include an exhaustive list of conditions that acupuncture and herbal medicine treat effectively because we firmly believe acupuncture and Chinese herbs can be effective in treating any manifestation of illness in the body, physical, psychological or spiritual. We do not specialize in any specific populations or disorders because we believe that all people at all levels of health can be helped by Traditional Chinese Medicine. As with any medical treatment, results will vary for each individual. But this is because every person is unique, and every person responds differently to imbalance or illness.
The following is a list of examples of common conditions we have often treated successfully:
What does acupuncture feel like?
The experience of receiving acupuncture is deeply relaxing. Many people will fall asleep during treatments. Some people describe a pleasant sensation of floating or sinking into the table. The insertion of the needles takes about 5 minutes, and most people will feel nothing, or a minor sensation during the insertions.
How many treatments will it take for me to see results?
As with any type of medical treatment, results will vary greatly from person to person. In general, it is best to call the office and discuss some of the details of your case with Bill or Rebecca to get a better idea of how long you should expect to receive treatments. But in most cases, we recommend committing to a series of 5 treatments to make a lasting impact on your state of health.
Is acupuncture safe?
Acupuncture is a completely safe, non-invasive treatment. We use only pre-sterilized needles that are used once and thrown away.
